001 - Amit Kukreja
Hi there, and welcome to the first edition of Intake, the newsletter that brings you the most trusted media and information sources of your favorite founders, experts, and creators. Over time, I hope to create a space that provides a connection to the highest quality sources available, while providing a platform to the creators and media outlets who deserve it most.
Hopefully, over the course of enough Fridays, I will succeed in this mission.
My sincerest thanks for reading this first edition of Intake. I’ll see you next Friday.

Q/A
How do you determine whether a particular source or content creator is reliable and trustworthy?
”For me it's about if I feel any authentic connection to the content they are putting out. If I think they are putting content out for an external reason outside of a love of making the content, then it feels off. If it seems like they are doing it because they want to create it, it's easier for me to give them a chance and consume more of their content.”
What inspired you to start Audea, and what has been your experience building and growing the company so far?
”I didn’t see a good way to discover podcasts/audio content, given I started one and saw distribution didn’t exist–so I decided to solve the problem. Building the company has been incredibly difficult and rewarding at the same time, but it’s been the best journey of my life.”
Could you share some insights or tips for beginners who are interested in investing?
”My number one rule is only invest in a company you actually understand. If you don’t truly get it, you will be emotional as the stock goes up and down - if you get it, you won’t be worried regardless of the stock price.”
How do you approach building and growing your personal brand as a founder, investor, and content creator?
”It’s hard because there are a lot of things to manage at once, but I try to just come up with interesting ideas that are true to me and put them out there. The more I can be myself, the better I know the content will resonate with people.”
This concludes the inaugural edition of Intake! Special thank you to Amit for being our first guest and thanks again to all of you for the support. I’ll see you next Friday!
